Balochi Sofreh
Balochi Sofreh
This charming yet archaic sofreh (dining cloth) from the Baloch tribes in southeastern Persia dates back to the 1960s. Due to its vintage nature, the sofreh shows signs of high foot traffic and usage in some areas. It features a unique geometric design in the center, believed to convey the weaver's wishes to God, and is accompanied by a zig-zag pattern on the border, serving as protection for those wishes. It is a genuine and sacred nomadic flatweave.
